The Pikes Peak Children's Museum (PPCM) is excited to be getting out into the community with a wide variety of fun and interactive outreach activities! We have a great team planning the activities, but we can always use a few more volunteers to join us to help set up and run these events, which take place all over El Paso County.
The activities we plan range from makerspace and tinkering workshops to planting seeds, creating arts and crafts, and enjoying music and movement. We tailor each activity to the theme of the event or the organization we are partnering with, so you'll rarely do exactly the same activity twice! Since we don't have a permanent location yet, we really appreciate the various organizations that open their doors to us and partner with us to bring great programming to families in our community.
In your role as a PPCM Outreach Volunteer, you'll not only be bringing fun and interactive educational opportunities to the children of Colorado Springs, but you'll be a PPCM ambassador, helping us spread the word about the Pikes Peak Children's Museum as we work our way toward opening a permanent children's museum in our community.
We welcome youth volunteers ages 14+, or younger youth volunteers when accompanied by an adult volunteer. We believe that kids teaching kids is great for everyone. :)
