Participate in removing invasive shrubs that push out our native plants and animals.

Collect seeds of native flowers as you walk. The seed will be planted areas formerly crowded by invasive shrubs.

Learn how you can contribute your talents to restoring healthy nature while meeting good people.

We unite people to protect, promote, and care for the forest preserves in Cook County.

Description

Friends takes a diverse approach to protecting, restoring, and promoting the forest preserves of Cook County. From engaging political and community leaders in policy decisions, to recruiting volunteers and contractors to restore forest preserves to ecological health, to providing paid jobs and training for the county's youth, Friends works to get everyone involved to help keep the forest preserves healthy and preserved for future generations.
