Position Responsibilities:
- Sort, shelve, or file books, magazines, newspapers and other media.
Qualifications, Special Skills Required, and Restrictions:
- Ability to bend to floor level or reach a height of 75 inches
- Ability to push a movable cart loaded to a maximum of 250 pounds
- Ability to tolerate dust, mold, etc. as accumulated on books and materials
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Skills in operation of office machines and equipment
- Must be able to work independently
- Will receiving training on Dewey Decimal System of shelving books
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read a minimum print size equal to 10 point type
- Must be 16 years or older
- Criminal background checks are required of all volunteers over the age of 18
