Volunteers help with planting and infrastructure installation to help further the mission of the A.M. Howard Farm. We hope to have farmers on site in February 2017. The farm, operated by the Piedmont Conservation Council on land owned by the Town of Cary, seeks to create a financially sustainable model of leasing farmland to new farmers, connect new farmers with local market opportunities, serve as a demonstration site for environmentally responsible farming practices, and provide educational opportunities for the community regarding agriculture and nutrition.
