Volunteers can work at special events throughout the year. Duties may range from registering event participants, serving food, youth games or crafts, greeting event guests, etc. Special events include Bowl For Kids' Sake, Holiday Party, Agency Picnic, Golf Tournaments, etc. Dates, times, and places vary.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters Vision is successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities for all.
Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois provides one-to-one mentoring services to at-risk youth, ages 6-18, living in Clinton, Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties. The agency provides two types of mentoring programs: School-Based and Community Based. School-Based matches meet with their mentors at the child's school on a weekly basis where the mentors promote an interactive and fun learning environment. Community based matches spend 10-12 hous per month doing various low-cost activities throughout the community.
