Message Therapy-
Patients and their caregivers are frequently plagued by pain, stress, and tension due to their circumstances. Our Professionally trained massage therapy volunteers provide comfort through postive touch to both the patient and caregiver id needed or desired. We do not require our volunteers to trael outside of their own community.
AseraCaring Threads individuals work out of their homes making caring shawls and lap robes for AseraCare Hospice patients. We also use the items for Community Outreach. Each hour used to work on projects count as volunteeer time for our organization. Donations of yarn are always shared.
Crafters needed to make seasonal crafts for events for hispice. We will supply most materials. Must be able to work on own and be creative. Ideal for scout groups, senior groups, school community projects, or individuals.

AseraCare is a hospice agency that provides care to patient in the end stages of life. We serve patients in their own homes, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.
We focus on serving the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of our team, patients and families with a sense of compassion, urgency and customer service. AseraCare is passionate about creating a culture that is dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering which finds expression through the ongoing gentle acts of kindness, sympath and compassion. Volunteers at AseraCare will be a friend in someone's end of life journey to ensure they are comfortable.
AseraCare Hospice volunteers enhance quality of life and reduce the burden of caregiving by providing dirrerent types of support to patients and families. Companions, pet therapy, music volunteers, Reiki Practitioners, Massage therapists, and more visit our patients on a regular basis. If you wish to share your heart and help a terminally ill patient in any way you can contact our Volunteer Coordinator to learn about our exciting new opportunities!
