Being a Meals on Wheels driver is a very heart warming experience. Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to home-bound seniors who are unable to cook for themselves. Our delivery routes generally take less than 2 hours to complete and usually begin around 9:00 a.m. We have routes located throughout Orange County. It's very possible you would be assigned to a route in your own community. Seniors First relies on over 200 volunteers a week to deliver 1000 meals every weekday to senior citizens who receive Meals on Wheels.
By utilizing volunteers in this position, it allows us to have more funding available for the over 500 needy seniors in Orange County that are currently on our Meals on Wheels waiting list. Just by you giving a small amount of your time, results in a HUGE benefit to our seniors and our agency!
