An ESL one-to-one tutor assists an individual learner with English speaking, reading or writing skills to reach a variety of goals: participating in parent-teacher conferences, communicating with one's doctor, being able to make an emergency phone call.

We ask you, as a new tutor with us, to undergo a 12-hour tutor training, where you will learn to craft lesson materials geared to your learner's goals, strengths and skills. A great part of the training is that it will be free of charge and you will become a Certified ESL Tutor. This certification is recognized world-wide.

We ask for only one hour a week for minimum of 4 months.

Description

Corazon a Corazon is a non-profit organization that serves the Latino community. We offer one-on-one ESL tutoring for adults and an After-School program for children, both of which are volunteer based. Corazon believes that education is key to advancing and empowering our community.
