Description of job:
- The volunteer(s) will be needed 2 to 15 hours a week (see below a schedule of the work hour slots), Monday-Thursday supporting the site activities by setting up chairs and tables, cleaning tables and vacuum after each day activity, pick up trash and take it to the outside bins at least once or twice a week as needed.
- Supporting volunteers’ pool: help other volunteers bring food to tables when food is served for lunch. Is part of the pull of volunteers doing some dishes as needed.
- Activities participation: whenever possible support the card players who need one more person to play in their table.
LUNCH: will be provided to the volunteer when lunches are served at the site
Schedule (# days/hours per week, occasional, one time):
- Monday: 11am to 2pm (3hrs)
- Tuesday: 12-3pm (3hrs)
- Wednesday: 1:30-3:30pm (2hrs)
- Thursday: 11:30am to 3:30pm (4hrs)
Note: Occasionally we might need once a month extra hours (3hrs) when we start our Member Get Together Lunch the third Monday of each month from September-May.
Training: will be trained in the ambassador approach to clients/members, basic routine activities respecting safety rules and church requests to keep the site in order and clean.

- Nutritious meals available in-person or Grab and Go Monday-Friday at Devon, Broomall, and Media
- Transportation services, fee-based and free, provided by volunteers, Surrey Drivers and through partnerships with Chester County Community Transit (Chester County) and DELGO Community Transit (Delaware County)
- Home care services including RN Care Management for help with medication management and care; personal care for help bathing and dressing; and Personal Finance Management for help with bills, insurance claims, and long-term care policies.
- Opportunities to downsize and consign with the Surrey Consignment Shop.
- Free instruction, support, and hands-on training for family caregivers and aspiring caregivers at The Surrey Academy.
