Help us to show our respect for the military service of our patients by knitting or crocheting a patriotic blanket for them! We host pinning ceremonies for our patients and their families where we present them with a plaque, a pin and a red/white/blue handmade throw/lap blanket. Our patients really appreciate and enjoy the blanket - and after they have passed their family members treasure it. Here is where you come in - we need knitters and crocheters! We will be happy to reimburse our volunteers for their yarn. But, of course, the biggest reward is knowing how much the blanket will be loved.

Mission Statement

The mission of Angels Grace Hospice is to provide physical, emotional, social and spiritual support to terminally ill patients, as well as their families and loved ones, while helping patients and families to live with dignity and comfort.

Description

Angels Grace Hospice is a new, locally owned and operated organization which is licensed in the state of Illinois. Angels Grace is dedicated to providing excellent care when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to curative treatments. Hospice care is provided in the patient's home, family member's homes, long-term care facilities and hospitals. The patient's and the family's medical, social, emotional and spiritual needs are addressed by a team of hospice professionals and volunteers.

Volunteers are the heart of hospice, and make a difference not only to the patients and their families, but also to the hospice staff. Volunteers can provide caring companionship and support directly to patients and family members, or indirect care, such as administrative assistance in the hospice office.
