ORGANIZATION: WA State Office of the Attorney General

The Spokane Social and Health Services Section of the Attorney General’s Office is seeking a volunteer to provide clerical assistance on a part-time basis for approximately twelve hours each week. The volunteer will be trained to aid Assistants Attorney General, paralegals and legal assistants in the following daily tasks:

  • Receive legal documents and timely update case management software, calendars, etc.;

  • Receive, sort and deliver legal documents throughout SHS;

  • Draft basic legal documents; and

  • Sort and maintain discovery documents.

There is one volunteer position available, projected to start in early September, 2016.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess an excellent eye for detail, an interest in protecting vulnerable adults and children, able to work collaboratively, and be self-motivated. Applicants should have familiarity working with computer programs, however, training will be provided in utilizing AGO-specific and other software. We are seeking someone who is willing to volunteer about 10-12 hours per week for at least a one year commitment.

MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS

  • Conflicts screening; Valid driver’s license to operate state vehicle
