Reading proficiency is a national priority. Fort Worth ISD's 100x25 FWTX Initiative has as a goal to ensure that 100 percent of third-graders read on or above grade level by the year 2025. How can you help? Be part of the solution by volunteering 30 minutes a week. Become a 100x25 FWTX Reader in any of the schools of FWISD!
The ability to read is critical to a child's success in school, life-long earning potential and their personal fulfillment. It is also critical to the prosperity of our local economy and the wellness of our community.
30 minutes a week from October through May. Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. The volunteer will choose day and time for volunteering.
Did you know? Many companies allow employees to volunteer as part of their overall giving-back policy or corporate philanthropy. Check with your employer about this possibility. Thanks.
