FEMA's most recent flood plain maps for the Polk County area are in and will be distributed to homeowners & interesed members of the community on WEDNESDAY August 24, 2016 in wINTER HAVEN.
Community Meeting Ambassadors will assist staff with general set-up for the meeting - (setting out papers), greet and register individuals attending the event, A listing of FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) will be provided, to assist Ambassadors in answering questions of guests as they arrive.
Ambassadors (Ages 16 - Adult) should arrive at 3:00 p.m. to assist with set up and to receive a brief orientation before attendees begin to arrive. Meeting is expected to conclude around 6:30 p.m. Attire is nice slacks/jeans (no rips/tears), shirt/blouse (modest). Assist with clean-up at the close of the meeting.
