Empower adults with disabilities and special needs in our Elgin adult day program! We are in need of volunteers who know how to knit and will be able to share their skills with our clients. Volunteer shifts are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
We have other volunteer opportunities on location in our day programs, assisting clients with lunch time activities, arts & crafts activities, coaching on computers, cooking, exercise/fitness and gardening (just to name a few) as well as in our offices including clerical and filing, document scanning and IT support. Our volunteer locations include: Aurora, Elgin, Yorkville and Batavia. Please contact us for more information. Description
For over 50 years, the Association for Individual Development (AID) has provided services to individuals who have developmental, physical, and/or mental disabilities, those who have suffered trauma or those at risk.
All clients have access to vital, life enriching services including: early intervention; developmental therapy; autism programs; audiology; respite care; permanent affordable housing; developmental and vocational training; job placement and on-the-job coaching services; crisis intervention; community education and advocacy.
