We are committed to a community-based collaborative effort to reach children and families at risk and prevent child abuse and neglect. Founded in 1972 as a highly successful, national Head Start demonstration project, Home Start provides services to children living in poverty who require immediate, comprehensive solutions to ensure their safety and healthy development. In 1977, Home Start incorporated as a San Diego-based, private non-profit agency dedicated to child abuse prevention and family strengthening services.

Enjoy the outdoors, listen to music and help a local non-profit! Home Start's Thrift Boutique, located in Normal Heights, is looking for sign spinners to help attract customers to the Boutique.

Sign spinners will work 2 hour shifts Friday and Saturday between 11:00 a.m and 5:30 p.m. Individuals must be outgoing, energetic and reliable; able to spin or have sign in constant motion (using a 3 lb sign); and have clean cut professional appearance.
