We have a ton of opportunities for the NAMIWalks volunteers.
NAMIWalks on Saturday, October 8th at Masterson Station Park. We will open gates for volunteers and vendors at 8am. Participants will be admitted at 9am. We will have programming and then the Walk will begin at noon. Break down will begin after the Walk portion has ended. We are hoping to be packed up by 4-this depends on the number of volunteers we have helping(last year I was there till 6 because we did not have any outside volunteers for breakdown). I need a minimum of an hour commitment. If I have names and times available, I can make sure all volunteers get a break and can enjoy the festivities.Volunteers are needed to assist with the:
- kidz zone-face painting, bracelet making, table top games, activities, inflatables/slide/jousting-keep an eye on the area, assist as needed.
- registration and greeting-accepting walker paperwork, signing in walkers, handing out swag bags to team captains
- cotton candy machine-making and handing out free cotton candy,
- popcorn machine-making and handing out free popcorn,
- parking assistance-showing individuals where to park or helping with golf cart transportation,
- helping vendors set up their tables,
- pet zone-keeping water and treat station stocked,
- sales table-selling cards and t-shirts,
- voter registration table-handing out materials, assisting with filling out postcards
- floaters to fill in and give others breaks

NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots organization addressing and advocating for individuals diagnosed with mental illness and providing support for their families. Founded in 1979, NAMI has affiliates in every state and in more than 1,100 local communities around the country. NAMI members work to provide support, education, and advocacy.
