Pokemon Go After-Hours

On Thursday, July 28, Maymont will open the gates after hours for guests to explore the grounds in search of Pokemon characters. Maymont is home to more than 35 Pokestops and three gyms! We are specifically in need of outgoing volunteers to support this event by assisting as course guides. Guides should be outgoing individuals who are fairly familiar with Maymont’s grounds. Guides will be asked to answer questions, offer directions, and provide information about Maymont.
Shifts are available from 6pm-9:15pm. Volunteers ages 15 and under must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

Description
Maymont was the 100-acre Victorian country estate of Major James H. and Sallie May Dooley. The Dooleys completed their opulent mansion in 1893 and spent the next three decades creating the gardens, landscapes and outbuildings you see here today. Upon Mrs. Dooley's death in 1925, Maymont was bequeathed to the City of Richmond . Attractions for visitors added over the years include the Nature Center, Native Virginia Wildlife Exhibits, Children's Farm and Carriage Collection. Since 1975, Maymont has been maintained and operated by the private non-profit Maymont Foundation.
