Bike MS Volunteer

We are excited to have you join us for this extraordinary ride! The Bike MS: Dat's How We Roll is a two-day fundraising event that begins at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana and rides 75 miles north to Percy Quin State Park in McComb, Mississippi. Participants overnight in McComb before heading back to Hammond on Day 2.

There are six rest stops along the way located in quaint, sleepy towns and a Louisiana-style party at the end of each day. We are looking for trained and certified medical professionals to volunteer at our various Rest Stops and our Lunch Stop along the route. The Medical Support Team ensures safety in hazardous situations by providing immediate medical assistance to cyclists and volunteers

Qualifications & Time Commitment:

  • Must be a certified medical professional (minimum ECA) with pre-hospital experience. Acceptable certifications and licenses are EMT, EMT-1, EMT-P, LVN, RN, and MD
  • May be required to complete a background check or provide copy of current license or certification
  • Must be available to volunteer at least one day of the 2-day event with a minimum commitment of 6 hours
  • Strong crisis management skills in the event of emergency
