Life Target is a nonprofit organization that focuses on violence prevention, and whose mission is to create tools to support people who are having a crisis from committing violence against others. Life Target has implemented a search engine on its website that individuals may use freely. The search engine gives them access to different national and local crisis agencies, such as Hotlines, Texts, Chats, Online Counseling and Community Centers. - see our website www.lifetarget.org

We are now working to introduce Life Target’s Search engine to all different communities. Your goal will be to make our data the most organized for the search engine and the Excels.

Life Target has an open position - 6 months minimum- for a Researcher Data Management Engineer Volunteer.

• The holder of this position will be responsible for organizing all data already assembled and all future data tailored to meet the specific needs of our search engine’s projects.
• Must be able to handle a variety of tasks; effectively solve problems with numerous and complex variables; and be able to shift priorities rapidly. The RDM Engineer will also be involved and contribute to secure the right manner to manage, categorize and reuse the data, including the maintenance.
• Seeking someone with Research Data organization experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast paced if necessary.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (The position will work closely with small project teams of 2-4 researchers. Interfacing with project teams remotely.
