We have preschool students who need help meeting their academic goals due to second-language learning. Volunteers are needed to come to our center on a weekly basis to work with a student and help him/her advance toward the goals and be ready for Kindergarten. Volunteers who speak English and/or Spanish are needed. All materials are provided. Total time required per week is 30 minutes.

Mission Statement
My Amigos Bilingual Education Center provides a high quality dual-language (Spanish/English), Christian, immersion education to children and provides them with tools that enable them to confidently participate in a global community. This goal is achieved through implementation of our bilingual curriculum which teaches them to become open-minded, model citizens from an early age.
Description
We are a preschool and afterschool program with a 35 child capacity and licensed by DSS. We work with children ages 30 months to 5 years from 7:30AM to 5:30PM, and ages 5-11 from 2:30-5:30PM . The children are taught and supervised by our teachers throughout the day. We believe that all children deserve access to a high-quality education, so we host several yearly fundraisers that help with the cost of educational supplies and scholarship assistance for our students that qualify. While we are a Christian-based organization, we do not force any student to participate in our religious activites. The decision lies with the families.
