The Elmhurst Branch of the Oakland Public Library is launching a new chess club, and we need a skilled and patient chess expert to help those who are just learning the game. If you are interested and available for one Saturday a month (date and hours TBD), please consider joining us for this fun and engaging activity.

Our locations currently include 16 branches, a Main Library, a Second Start Adult Literacy Program, the Tool Lending Library, and the African American Museum and Library. We also offer many other special services for residents of Oakland and California.
