Thank you to all who have volunteered. This event is now full. Please see our dates in October and November for opportunities to volunteer. We meet the second Monday of each month except December to sort and clean gently read books. We hope to see you in the future.

Supporting early childhood literacy.
Description
Texas Kids Read (formally The Literacy Plus Project) gives books to students in Title 1 schools to encourage them to read. We give them 5-8 books just before the Summer break in an effort to keep them at their current reading level when they return to school in August.
Our volunteers clean the books that are donated and we recieve 90% of our books thru donations.
