Through this internship, you will gain solid, real-life experience and actively participate in many levels of marketing and graphics. Individuals will participate in all tasks associated with the design, way-finding and production of marketing collateral for Imagination Station. Exhibit design and interpretive and way-finding signages are also a part of the day-to-day responsibilities of the Graphics Team, and interns will participate in various phases of those tasks. This position is unpaid.
Responsibilities:
-2-D advertising layouts, brochures, postcards and posters. Brand standards are incorporated, and direct supervision provided.
-Production: includes in-house digital printing, trimming and minimal installation.
-Use of CS4 (or above) with an emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design.
-The design and production of exhibit and way-finding signage is included in the position; material knowledge (substrates, vinyl, laminate, etc.) will be learned.
Requirements:
-Experience working on a team
-Knowledge of CS4 or higher with an emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design
-Experience with print/production terminology is desired, but will be taught if needed
-Expertise in Word/Excel and Hype is a plus
-Experience with verbal communication, math and presentation skills
-Helpful experience: fine art, t-shirt design, mural painting
-Helpful experience: photography, animation, web design
-15 - 20 hours weekly
-Minimum of a 3 month commitment
-The ability to pass a background check and drug test
