Join us for Summer 4Play, the biggest playdate of the summer! There will be canoeing, paddleboarding, human foosball, volleyball, and more, all with thousands of your favorite neighbors and friends! But we can't pull this off without your help: we need volunteers to help us welcome guests and run activity stations.
Click the "I want to help!" button if you are interested. Please be sure to include both the shift (morning or afternoon) and the station where you would like to work. See below for more details.

Volunteer shifts are 10am- 1pm, or 12:30pm- 3:30pm.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Event Set-Up: Move tables and put up signage before the start of the event
Event Greeters: Welcome participants, hand out maps, answer questions
Event Clean Up: Support staff/partners in clearing space; pick up signage; gather supplies
Voyageur Canoes: Support Wilderness Inquiry in hosting time trials in the big 10-person canoes
Human Foosball: Oversee/ help manage activity
Floaters: To be assigned to partners/activity stations as needed
Northern Spark: Assist with art stations

The Volunteers-In-Parks program, jointly managed by Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and Mississippi Park Connection, connects, educates, and promotes the enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River through unique and entertaining volunteer opportunities to the entire community.
Description
The Volunteers-In-Parks program is a joint program with Mississippi Park Connection. Mississippi National River and Recreation Area represents America's greatest river, the Mississippi, which weaves together the natural and cultural heritage and economic vitality of the region. The National Park Service works with partners to foster increased citizen awareness, advocacy, and enjoyment of the resources of the Mississippi River.
Volunteer-In-Parks provides people with opportunities to discover, experience, and enjoy the diversity of the Mississippi River while also preserving it for future generations through volunteer restoration projects and education programs.
