The JCC Peace Camp began Summer of 2010, in hopes of providing a safe a loving environment for Baltimore City youth while teaching them strategies towards dissolving conflict and being peaceful. We are currently looking for volunteers or service learners (high school and college students needing service hours) to serve as camp counselors for the duration of the camp. The camp serves youth aged 5-14 living in East Baltimore. We incorporate dance, art, nature, and science into our day-to-day activities. We'd love to have you come on board! The Julie Community Center is a multi-purpose, non-profit community organization involved i n advocacy, education, and organizing, with special dedication to the poor.Provides after school program, youth enrichment and summer camp program from children ages 6-12. Provides leadership workshops and public health projects for teens.
