We are in need of volunteers for an exciting event coming up in September! The 2016 St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer will take place on Saturday, 9/24 at Harbor Point in Stamford, CT ( www.stjude.org/walkrun). All proceeds from the event will go to support the kids of St. Jude!

We are in need of Walk/Run volunteers for several different time frames and lots of different areas. We expect about 700 attendees and hope to raise $100,000 for the kids of St. Jude!

If anyone is available or interested, there are several different options. All are at Harbor Point (2200 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT).

Saturday, 9/24: event set up at Harbor Point 6am - 9am

Saturday, 9/24: registration and accounting 8:30am - 12pm

Saturday, 9/24: general event help- tent staffing, race course staffing, kid zone staffing etc.... 9am - 1pm

Saturday, 9/24: event break down 12 - 2pm

Community service hours are available for those students required to have them for school credit.

Specific assignments and timelines will be finalized as the event gets closer, but we could really use some great volunteers who we can trust, who know St. Jude, and who have a great attitude!

Thank you for your consideration!

Description

ALSAC exists solely to raise and provide the funds necessary to operate and maintain St. Jude. Because of ALSAC, families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance and no child is ever denied treatment because of the family's inability to pay.
