Picnic at a Park with Adults with Developmental Challenges

**This event will take place at Valle Lindo Park, 889 Aileen Strett, Camarillo, CA

Fairy Tales in the Park puts on fun shows during the day for the young and young at heart. They will be performing Little Red Riding Hood and we are looking for wonderful volunteers who would enjoy this event with our clients. Volunteers will be setting up the tents and snack tables, hanging out with the clients, pushing wheelchairs, helping serve snacks to the clients, enjoying the fun show and being a friend. Our clients will be at Valle Lindo Park around 11am, and will only stay till about 2pm. As a volunteer, please arrive by 10am to help setup. Admission and parking are free!! Parking will either be on the street or in the school parking lot near the park. Please bring a lunch if interested in enjoying lunch with the clients.

Valley Village has provided services for adults with developmental disabilities in the San Fernando Valley for nearly 50 years. Our mission is to protect, foster, develop and advance the rights and interests of people with developmental disabilities. We manage 18 group homes and 3 day programs across the San Fernando Valley and have a variety of programs where you can make a difference as a volunteer either at one of our sites, or on one of our community outings around Los Angeles County. Since 1971, Valley Village, a 501(c)3 organization, has been a leader in building transformative programs that raise the standard of care for all people with developmental disabilities in the San Fernando Valley.
