Inspire High School Students at College to Career Day!

Share your career experience and be a mentor to college-bound students! Let’s Get Ready is seeking volunteers for its College to Career Day in Boston on Saturday July 23rd! We are looking for professionals in all fields who are willing to share their career experience, and the path that got them there, with low-income and first generation high school students in and around Greater Boston.

Through College to Career Day, Let's Get Ready high school students learn about a variety of career fields and how they can take meaningful steps towards achieving their career goals while in college and beyond. Volunteers help students explore those steps through the Career Exploration Fair by providing knowledge about their field and sharing the academic and extracurricular experiences in college that were most helpful to their career, while also helping students practice important networking skills.

College to Career Day also creates a forum for volunteers to mingle and network with other local professionals, while simultaneously making a difference in ambitious, college-bound students' futures.

ABOUT LET’S GET READY

Let's Get Ready is a national nonprofit that provides low-income high school students with free SAT preparation, admissions counseling and other support services needed to gain admission to and graduate from college. Services are provided by volunteer college students who also serve as role models and mentors. With the engagement of 600 college students, Let's Get Ready's New England region supports over 1,300 students through the college application process and also helps students transition to and graduate from college.
