ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS

INTRODUCTION: We are looking for five (5) ladies and gentlemen between the ages of 20-29 to become part of our young adult community service ministry. The name of our church is Kingdom City Fellowship, and we are a nondenominational Christian church.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will: develop community service projects and youth programs; serve on the advisory board of a Christian High School; advocate for programs, services and people who cannot advocate for themselves; participate in health awareness activities; distribute food and clothing for the homeless; plan and host an annual young adult conference; collaborate with other young adult ministries on community projects; do virtual fundraising and social media activities and more.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: Monthly social events (dinners/movies); annual weekend retreat; annual Six Flags trip; annual Brunch; fundraising activities; social competitions for prizes and awards.

WHAT WILL YOU GET? Assistance with applying for jobs (development of resumes and cover letters) a professional reference; valuable work experience; exposure to a network of young adults from all over the world (www.sigmathetas.org).

HOW DOES IT WORK? You should have an email address because sometimes, we will have projects that you can do from home. Bible study service is on Friday evenings in the Midtown area of Manhattan (West 30th Street and 7th Avenue).

WHAT IS THE REQUIREMENT? This activity is for a Christian young adult who is not currently a member of any other church. This is important because you will need to be fully committed and invested in this ministry.

We meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go. This isn't church as usual- we are looking for some unusually extraordinary young people who want to change their lives and effect change in the lives of others - to the Glory of God!
