Looking for volunteers available during the afternoons, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 6/27-8/15.

ULBGC Club One is running their Summer Day Camp during this period and will be offering a course for youth ages 8-13 in computer science called CS First. CS First is a video based program created by Google that teaches coding through videos. Students watch videos and complete projects in Scratch, and your role as a Guru will be to facilitate, assist, and inspire kids!

We're also open to including hands-on activities and free field trip ideas to make learning even more fun!

Please check out CS-First.com for more information and email me with any questions! =)

About Union League Boys & Girls Clubs

Location:

65 West Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60604, US

Mission Statement

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Description

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.

Boys and Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls, by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence. Boys and Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow -- all while having fun.

We have a variety of Clubs throughout the Chicago area.

Each one offers the same opportunities for growth and the same dedicated staff to help and guide our members.

Donations can be made online at our website. Please visit www.ulbgc.org to learn more.
