Help rebuild and beautify our community by spending an afternoon working for Westchester Habitat for Humanity in Mount Vernon on Sunday, July 10th. Click the "I want to help!" button to sign up or to ask questions about the volunteering event.

We will meet at the Community Church of the Pelhams at 12:00 pm for orientation and a light lunch. After volunteers arrive, we will carpool together to the building site and work from 1 - 4pm. Please wear work clothes, and keep in mind that you may be painting or gardening. Children age 8 - 16 may accompany their parent, if the parent agrees to supervise them at all times. No experience is required.

The meeting point is located at 448 Washington Avenue, Pelham - the corner of Washington and Highbrook Avenues one block east of the Pelham train station (it's the big stone church near the Pelham Metro North train station). There is also lots of parking on site.

Mission Statement

We are a community committed to following the teaching and example of Jesus through our worship, fellowship, and mission. We believe in the healing power of humor and the transformational power of love. We believe in being responsible stewards of God's green earth. We try to bear in mind Micah's wise words: "What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God?" We invite people of all backgrounds to join us as we seek a deeper sense of God's love. Our doors and hearts are open to welcoming all God's people. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here with us.
