Volunteer with a Friend to Be Our Mascot - Pete the Praying Mantis!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Butterfly Pavilion

At the Butterfly Pavilion, our mission is to foster an appreciation of invertebrates while educating the public about the importance of conservation of threatened habitats in the tropics and around the world.

You can help support this mission by volunteering with a friend and bringing our mascot, Pete the Praying Mantis, to life! As Pete, you’ll represent the Butterfly Pavilion and enhance our guests’ experiences at special events on and offsite throughout the year. With all of the pictures people will want, you’ll feel like a celebrity!

This is a great opportunity for two adults who are looking to volunteer together! Pete needs a "handler," and Pete and the handler can alternate roles. Volunteers must be 5'9" or shorter in height in order to fit into the costume.
