Since 1970 Meals on Wheels People has provided a nutritional and social lifeline for seniors through 30 meal sites in Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties and Meals on Wheels delivery to homebound seniors. With the help of more than 8,000 volunteers, the nonprofit organization now serves 5,000 meals daily and more than 1.3 million meals each year.
Are you looking for a short-term work experience opportunity with an amazing local nonprofit? A Volunteer Development Assistant needed to help with a couple of short term projects this summer! Flexible schedule ~ approximately 3-4 hours per week (1 or 2 days per week) through the end of August.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Donor data management
- Acknowledgement & Mailing support
- Other duties as assigned

- Observe best practices for fundraising in a successful and healthy Portland nonprofit organization

Description
Meals on Wheels People is a nonprofit, secular organization that has provided seniors with hot meals and opportunities for health, hope and friendship since 1970. Each year more than 7,500 volunteers prepare and deliver 1.3 million meals to seniors in the Portland-Vancouver metro area. The loyal support of our volunteers combined with the generous financial contributions of our donors keeps the vision of Meals on Wheels Centers alive.
