Help Refugees become Self-Sufficient!
Join a dedicated team for one year of service. This is an AmeriCorps one year volunteer committment. The service year is August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017.
We are recruiting individuals who are committed to serving refugees! You must also be:
- -Age 17 or older
- -U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
- -High school graduate or have a GED
Willing to serve 1,700 hours during one year of service (in 48 weeks, 36 hours per week)
What would you do?
- Help individual refugees get a job
- Facilitate group financial literacy and cultural orientations
- Give workshops and make medical referrals
- Register children for school, totor refugee children after school
- Train volunteers to serve with refugees
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to go to school part time.
