Help with hospitality at the Best Friends National Conference!

The Best Friends National Conference is coming to the Salt Palace in Utah July 14-17. And we could really use your help to make it a big success. Our National Conference is one of the most uplifting events of the year in animal welfare. It’s for people in animal welfare to come together to be energized, educated, motivated and inspired.

We're looking for volunteers willing to great and guild our conference attendees to their first session the morning of July 14th 6:30 am -10:30 am. The hospitality team volunteers are our greeters, outside door monitors for general sessions, and lunch monitors (helping to guide people as they enter the lunch room). They also provide information regarding locations of sessions or rooms and the event schedule; chat with folks as appropriate and offer to help them; and direct the crowd when needed. We want every single attendee to have a positive conference experience, and all of the hospitality volunteers are instrumental in making that happen.

Hospitality volunteers will be stationed at the nearby hotels and around the Salt Palace to help guide attendees to registration for the first time. It's an early shift and we start right when you arrive so we recommend you grab coffee and breakfast before you arrive.

The Radisson Salt Lake City Downtown hotel has graciously donated parking validations for volunteers who work this shift. They are located at 215 S Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. You can get the validation from Kristina in the volunteer room. Please allow enough time to walk to the volunteer room 254A if you choose to park there.

Should you choose to help out with this shift, you would be free to attend sessions the rest of the day. There are a couple of other openings on different days but we weren't able to get the same parking donated so it would be $5 to park.
