We are a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit seeking the assistance of volunteers with fundraiser event planning. In order to continue serving our clients’ needs, we need funding. We have a special event planned for September 18 and need help with communications with talent and sponsors. This is a great position for anyone upbeat, enthusiastic and outgoing with excellent communications skills. Here’s what it’s all about:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with talent and vendors
- Solicit for event donations including raffle items
- Coordinate invitations and follow up letters
- Nurture sponsor relationships
- Event promotion
- Work with volunteers to assist before and after the event

Our mission is transport victims of domestic abuse to safety.
Description
Families to Freedom provides free transportation services to victims and their children who have experienced domestic abuse. We make it possible for victims and new survivors to get far away from abusive relationships. Our life-saving services include car rides to domestic violence shelters across the region, road trips to family homes in other states, multi-state bus tickets, and fuel assistance to relocate far away. We serve victims and new survivors across North Texas, East Texas, and the Gulf Coast area. We drive over 900 victims and children each year between two offices located in Dallas and Houston. We rely on the generous support of the community to continue providing these services at no cost to the victims who call us.
