ORGANIZATION: Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis

You may qualify for the study if you:

• Are between the ages of 18 and 60
• Have had low back pain for at least the last 12 months
• Have a BMI of less than 30
• Note: People with certain medical conditions and surgeries may lead to disqualification.

What does the study involve?

• Completion of surveys about your medical history and current activity level
• Evaluation by a physical therapist
• Physical therapy treatment one time per week, for one hour, for 6 weeks
• Movement testing at the beginning, end, and 6 months after the treatment period
• Completion of follow-up surveys once a month for 12 months after the treatment period
• Possibility of participating in additional sessions with your physical therapist

Benefits to you:

• You will receive 6 weeks of physical therapy treatment along with monetary compensation as you complete each stage of the trial (up to $300)
