Animal care and dog walking at the shelter.

Portable adoptions. Animals are brought to other locations for potential adoption. Volunteers care for the animals and interact with the public.

"New Leash On Life" thrift store; volunteers staff retail store, clean and research value of donated goods, pickup and deliver donations to store, interact with store visitors, create attractive store interiors and design store signs and graphics.

Community outreach; work with groups and handle dogs and cats for interaction and socialization.

Fundraising with grant writing, recruitment of donars and members, and special events.

The mission of the Franklin County Humane Society is to care for our area's homeless animals, to re-home as many animals as possible and to improve animal welfare throughout our community.

Description

The Franklin County Humane Society is an open-admission shelter; we accept all cats and dogs in need. We are an independent 501c3 organization and we are contracted by the City of Frankfort and the Franklin County Fiscal Court for animal control services.
