Save the Date July 15 and 16 Volunteer at the National Beer Expo

The Third Annual Capital Ale House National Beer Expo benefiting LINC will take place on July 13 through July 16, 2016, with the bulk of the activities taking place on July 15 and 16.

Right now we are accepting volunteers for Friday, July 15th's Taco Throwdown (5:30-9:30) and Saturday, July 16th for Seminars and the Walk-Around Grand Tasting and a new event on Saturday night, Farm Country Feast. All volunteer opportunities involve pouring beer or wine, so you must be 21 years of age to participate.

TACO THROWDOWN, Friday, July 15, 5:00-9:00PM (Arrival Time: 4:15):
Volunteers are to arrive at 4:15 at the Richmond Convention Center to check-in with the Volunteer Coordinator, Ashleigh Crocker. This event SOLD OUT last year and we are making it BIGGER this year! We will need 80 volunteers to pour beer and wine, and to serve as floaters for the 800-1,000 people who will be attending. There will be breaks but when you sign up, you are doing so for the entire time. Please expect to remain at the event until after it ends at 9PM.

WALK-AROUND GRAND TASTING July 16, 12:00-5:30PM (Arrival Time: 11:15AM)
Volunteers are to arrive at 11:15 at the Richmond Convention Center to check-in. VIP admission for the Grand Tasting begins at 12:00 and general admission opens at 1:30, the event goes until 5:30. There will be two shifts. The first shift will start at 11:15 and go until 2:30. The second shift will start at 2:00 and go until 6:00pm. We are looking to have about 150 volunteers for each shift, so be sure to let your friends know you are volunteering!

FARM COUNTRY FEAST July 16 5:00-9:00PM (Arrival Time: 4:30)

Volunteers should arrive for this event at 4:30pm. Similar to the Taco Throwdown, this event will feature southern and Cajun cuisine paired with whiskey and beer. As a volunteer, you will be tasked with pouring the whiskey and beer. We need a total of 25 volunteers for this event. While you will be given breaks during the event, you will need to stay for the entire time, so expect to stay until the event ends at 9pm.

All volunteers will receive a CancerLINC t-shirt. Depending on the shift you sign up for, you will also get free access to beer expo events after your shift and/or a prize package from local businesses, including Capital Ale House.
