Special Olympics Nevada is a free year-round sports training and competition program for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. There are 3,525 athletes who compete in 28 competitions throughout the region in eight sports. Included in that figure are 2,020 special education student-athletes who have Special Olympics in the classroom through our Schools Partnership Program. Special Olympics requires the extraordinary support and time of 3,704 volunteers and volunteer coaches. Financial support comes almost exclusively from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations. For more information on Special Olympics Nevada visit www.SONV.org or join us at www.Facebook.com/SONevada and www.Twitter.com/SONevada.
We are in need of 1-2 volunteers to come to our location 1-2 times a week to assist in events and administration duties such as filing, creating spreadsheets, phone calls and assisting in the planning of events. If interested, please contact April Reynolds at aprilr@sonv.org
