Children on the Green (childrenonthegreen.org) is seeking board members for its Board of Trustees. The position involves attending monthly board meetings and contributing your time and expertise as needed.

This is an opportunity for an individual who is passionate about children and their well being to help fortify COG mission. The Board supports the work of the COG and provides mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by the Executive Director and Operations director, the Board/Executive Director relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.

Board Members will:

• Be an Ambassador - to help tell COG’s story to my
• Be an Advisor - and make effective decisions on policy and
• Be an Advocate - to be an enthusiast for the cause of COG.
• Provide Access -- help bring and influence others on behalf of COG’s
• Provide Affluence - give and get as much as I possibly

Provide Assistance - volunteer for as many activities as possible

Members of the Board of Trustees are responsible for maintaining and developing the quality of programs and developing and executing the fundraising that makes it possible. Board Members are selected for their experience, position in the community, and interest in the high quality of education.
