Miracle Flights is a national nonprofit whose mission is to provide free commercial air transportation to sick children who are battling rare medical disorders and would otherwise lack access to specialized medical care.
Miracle Flights has been presented with a great opportunity to be the charity of choice for the Blacklight Run in Brooklyn, NY on July 23rd, 2016!
Blacklight Run(tm) is a unique night 5K fun run focused less on speed and more on UV Neon Glowing fun with friends and family. Glowing participants come from all different ages, shapes, sizes, and speeds; every participant will get Glowed(tm) and has the time of their life. Whether you are an avid runner or a walk around the park walker, the 3 miles of the Blacklight Run(tm) course will have you glowing and waiting for the next one!
Our commitment as the charity of choice is to provide volunteers, for each volunteer a donation will be made to Miracle Flights to further our mission of providing flight to sick children and their families to reach distant medical treatment. Volunteers must be age 16+.
The job of the volunteers will be

- Water Stations
- Glow Pack Distribution
- Course Marshals
- Start Line Supervisors
- Blacklight Zones

Description
Miracle Flights for Kids is a national, 501 (c)(3), medical flight organization that provides FREE commercial airline flights for a sick child and their families to see a specialist or get a second opinion not available in their community.
We will fly a child as far and as many times as needed to get well. Since 1985, we’ve coordinated more than 150,000 free flights to those in need of life-changing medical care. In our 35 year history, we’ve helped families in every corner of the country.
