On June 30 we are hosting several events. The opening of our outdoor art installation, closing receptions for 2 visual arts exhibitions in our galleries, and 2 concerts (1 at 4:30 p.m. and 1 at 6:00 p.m.). We will have a number of guests for both the outdoor and indoor events and some will also move between each of the events.
We need volunteers to serve as event hosts/ushers and to assist in distribution of materials. We will also need a volunteer receptionist to handle phones during the activities.
No special skills required There will be an orientation just prior to the event. Events start at 4:00 p.m. and will end around 9:00 p.m. Volunteers need not be available for this entire time frame,but we would like for you to be available for a minimum 2 hours.
We are located in downtown Detroit and can provide discounted parking. We are also in easy walking distance to the People Mover.

The Carr Center is a multidisciplinary cultural arts center in downtown Detroit that brings high quality arts experiences and arts education to the metro-Detroit community and through its web-casting provides global transmission of Detroit's art and culture. Our purpose is to provide educational opportunities for students of the arts, bring high-quality artistic experiences to broad-based audiences and support artists in the creation and presentation of their work.
