Ashtabula Historic House
Built c.1825 by Lewis Ladson Gibbs. Site includes a colonial 2story structure c.1790.

Volunteer docents needed to lead guided tours of Ashtabula and Woodburn Historic Plantation Houses in Pendleton to the visiting public. No experience or special knowledge required. Training provided.

Tour guides are needed for regularly scheduled days during the week and/or on weekends from April - October when the historic houses are open to the public. Tour guides are also needed for school field trips, monthly educational programs and special tours which are scheduled year around by appointment. Select as many hours and the days that you are available for tour duty.

Current open days vary per house:

Woodburn: Thursday through Saturday (10AM - 1PM), Sundays (2-5 PM) and other days if volunteers become available

Ashtabula: Thursday - Sunday 1 - 4 PM and other days if volunteers are available.

PHF is an all-volunteer organization focusing on 3 major programs: 1) preservation intrepretation of Woodburn and Ashtabula Historic Houses, 2) educatinal programs in SC & Amer. history for visitors of all ages 3) Historic Pendleton community outreach program providing education and assistance on historic presevation.
