Some may be transitioning out of homelessness, escaping a domestic violence situation, or rebuilding their lives after a fire or natural disaster, among others.

Mission Statement
My Father's House seeks to ensure that no child or adult has to live in a home without adequate furniture, and to lead the effort in recycling usable household furnishings.
Description
Resurrection's Furnishings Ministry, My Father's House, furnishes hope to those in need by collecting, preparing and distributing donated furnishings and home essentials, transforming the lives of program participants, donors and servants into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to offer a 'hand up' by meeting the household furnishings needs in Kansas City's urban and suburban communities through donated resources. My Father's House partners with secular and non-secular social service organizations who provide social service case management to eligible families and individuals, and refer them to My Father's House. Referrals to My Father's House include those transitioning out of homelessness, children in and those teens aging out of the foster care system, domestic abuse victims, veterans, disaster victims, and those coming out of incarceration.
