Are you a high school student?
Are you interested in teaching kids the joy of reading and writing?
We are looking for volunteers for our educational library program READ WRITE DISCOVER.
What: You will be tutoring kids from K-8th Grade on reading and writing.
When: Every Saturday, from 12:15 PM-4:15 PM (a great opportunity to earn a lot of volunteer hours!) from July 2-Aug 13.
Where: Seven Trees Library, 3590 Cas Dr, San Jose, CA 95111
IMPORTANT: If you are interested you need to attend the mandatory tutor training being held on JUNE 25 from 1:30 PM- 3PM in Seven Trees Library. Read Write Discover is a volunteer and student-led tutoring program whose mission is to create equitable literacy opportunities for K-8th grade learners by empowering young leaders to make a change in their communities. RWD's work is grounded in equity and youth leadership. We strongly encourage people of color, especially those who identify as black or brown, LGBTQ+, or identify with other marginalized communities, to apply and join our leadership team.
