Pike Place Market is preparing to complete the final piece of the Market Historic District with the addition of the MarketFront adjacent to Victor Steinbrueck Park. Forty years in the making, the new Pike Place "MarketFront" will transform a surface parking lot on Western Avenue into a waterfront-facing side of the Market. True to the Pike Place Market Charter and character, the MarketFront will provide opportunities for farmers, craftspeople and local entrepreneurs, as well as civic space, public art, social services and low-income housing
We need teams of volunteers to help educate our friends and neighbors about this expansion of the Market at local events and in Pike Place Market. This is the perfect fun summer volunteering experience, with opportunities to volunteer all over Seattle and with flexible hours. Whether you can volunteer for just one event or multiple, we would love to work with you!
In addition, we offer the following perks to our volunteers:
Volunteer at 10 events- Earning a free Market Charm, which will be installed permanently in the new Pike Place Marketfront.
Volunteer at 15 events- A free ticket to the exclusive Pike Place Sunset Supper.
We are also more than willing to provide letters of reccomendation!

The Pike Place Market Foundation works to preserve the traditions and diversity of the Pike Place Market neighborhood by supporting the Market's mdical clinic, senior center, preschool and food bank. Together, these services care for the nearly 10,000 low-income and elderly residents of downtown Seattle.
Description
The Market Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to support the Pike Place Market human service agencies including; The Pike Market Medical Clinic, Pike Market Child Care & Preschool, The Pike Market Senior Center and the Downtown Food Bank.
