This is a nonprofit community health organization dedicated to providing quality, holistic healthcare to people experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County. The services are provided at two locations: a residential medical respite center that cares for approximately 350 individuals a year and a no-cost family health center that serves nearly 3,500 patients a year, and a multi-disciplinary behavioral health team provides services at both locations.

As part of the volunteer program, the organization is seeking volunteers who will assist in recruiting new volunteers (both individuals and groups) raising awareness about the organization and promoting outreach efforts to reach new patients.

Activities will include but are not limited to

• Tabling opportunities at volunteer recruitment events
• Speaking to community groups and organizations about volunteer opportunities
• Facilitating new volunteer orientations

The additional volunteers you would be recruiting would fill roles such as advocates to help patients apply for benefits and housing, arts and crafts instructors, holiday and birthday committee to decorate and facilitate monthly patent birthday parties, bingo callers, food service handlers, pet therapists, translators and tutors.
