Our 17th Annual Walk for Wishes event brings together Wish Kids, Community Supporters and Volunteers to raise funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish!

You can help by being part of our moving Scavenger Hunt! Pick your favorite color, and then dress in it from head to toe! Get silly and creative to inspire our Wish Kids and young walkers!

Each youth participant in our walk will be on the hunt for your color! Please distribute a sticker (provided) in your chosen color to every child who locates you along the route and during the walk festival!

Last year the youth participants had a blast with this activity and every child wins a prize!

Mission Statement

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Description

Our Make-A-Wish chapter grants one wish every three days in the Central California region. Volunteers throughout our chapter support our mission work in wish granting, special events, community relations, corporate fundraising, community awareness and other critical areas. Volunteers work in local communities by impacting the lives of Central California children. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. It is important to note that during this time, we have made volunteer orientations and trainings readily available virtually for the health and safety of everyone.

Wish Granter

Wish Granters work in teams of two as a liaison between a wish family and Make-A-Wish. They help determine a child's wish and play an instrumental role in helping to turn the wish into reality. You must be at least 21 years old, complete Wish Granter training, and be able to make two or more visits to the family during the course of the wish process. Wish Visits have recently become available to do virtually as well.
