PIES returns to New Orleans this summer to assist one of its partner service sites -Crescent City Schools- located in a predominately low-income neighborhood. After three years at its current location, the Paul Habans Charter School is moving into a new building. The teachers, principal and staff need help getting the school ready for the first day of school.
We will be organizing classrooms, preparing materials for children and teachers, and anything else necessary to prepare for the children's arrival the following week.

PIES supports educators working in under-served communities through service partnerships. We believe that the best way to support a school is not to enter and tell the school what we will do, rather, engage in a conversation to meet the needs of the school with the breadth of talent each team uniquely possess. Therefore, each service trip is unique to the school we partner with and the individuals who commit to serve. We are "Rebuilding Neighborhoods, One School at a Time."
